EAB Update

Emerald Ash Borer or EAB was recently confirmed in Wisconsin Rapids and is quickly spreading north.

Make sure you know the signs/symptoms of EAB, these include: bark blonding, d-shaped exit holes, epicormic sprouting and tip dieback. A few different treatment options exist. The homeowner option for treatment is to use a chemical called Imidacloprid. Please see this resource for information regarding proper application.

This treatment must be done each year. A different treatment option being used by tree care professionals that is applied every other year is ArborJet’s cutting edge Tree I.V. system.
